About Genesis2Revolution

Genesis2Revolution is a graphic/web design business that is based in Ulverston, Cumbria. It's run by me, Dave Hardman and if you want to learn a little about me, just click here.
I started the business in May 2009 and it's grown steadily since then. I've never lost a client and most of my work is for existing clients.

The business was originally going to be just a graphic design studio, but my very first client had set his business up the same time as me and wanted a full package designing (logo, letterheads, business cards etc.). He also wanted a website to promote his new business and I explained that I could only build a basic website. He was happy with that, so we went ahead with it and over the next twelve months I worked hard learning web design. As I learned new skills I updated his website.

I try to specialise in small to medium sized business's, purely because it suits the way I work. I like to build a nice personal relationship with my clients and you don't get that with larger business's. I've done work for HMP Prisons, G4S, NHS Trusts etc. and I realised that I prefer smaller business's.

I've built up a great reputation for promoting business's. I make sure  promotional material (flyers, business cards, ads in the paper etc.)  that I design really stands out from the crowd.

My main way (ironically) is online.  I've worked really hard studying search engine optimization and all my clients websites are between 1-3 on the first page of Google, Yahoo & Bing. Obviously they are found easily for the business name, but I don't concentrate on that too much. I concentrate on getting them found for what they do, where they are and services that they offer.
I have one site (Old-Farmhouse.com) that has had over 30,000 page views in the last twelve months.

The main thing I aim for with the business is to build a personal relationship with the client. If I get to know the client and their business I can promote their company better. I aim to keep my clients coming back every time they need some design work rather than just being a one stop shop that just churns out generic designs.

Another thing that sets Genesis2Revolution above the local competition is that your designs will be 100% original. I don't use clip art. If I can't draw the image myself, I've got a network of freelance artists & illustrators that I can call upon.

This ethos carries over to the websites I design too. I don't use templates like a lot of designers. Every site is built to suit your business and how you want to promote it.

 

All images on this site are the property of Genesis2Revolution so any use of them without permission would be a breech of my copyright and I have an excellent Intellectual Properties Lawyer that I call upon in times of need and he never looses.

Where we are

Genesis2Revolution is based in Ulverston, Cumbria.
Although most of our clients are based in the local area (Barrow in Furness, Kendal etc.), we have clients dotted around the U.K. and we have a couple overseas customers too.
Now, Ulverston might be a quiet little town, but we live in a digital age and that kind of means that it doesn't matter where our clients are based. We can still offer the same service if the client is 2 miles, or 200 miles away.
And if you'd prefer talking over a project in person, a day out of the office to drive and meet you is always a welcome break from the computer..
